Kinder Change Guidelines

Kinder Change can be used for genuine personal celebrations and meaningful collections, including:

• birthdays, weddings and anniversaries;
• new babies, retirements and other milestones;
• experiences, education, hobbies and opportunities;
• celebrations created by a responsible adult for a child;
• celebrations created for someone else, including surprises;
• teacher, colleague, coach, team and community gifts;
• legitimate personal goals connected to a celebration.

Kinder Change must not be used for:

• anything illegal, fraudulent or misleading;
• weapons, controlled substances, gambling or adult services;
• investment, lending, cryptocurrency or other financial schemes;
• hate, harassment, exploitation or harmful content;
• selling regulated or prohibited goods or services;
• fundraising that misrepresents who will receive the money or how it will be used;
• creating a celebration for someone who would not reasonably be happy to receive it;
• anything prohibited by Stripe or applicable law.

The story, images and purpose of a celebration should be truthful. Organisers must have permission to use the information and photographs they share and must clearly describe what contributions are intended for.

If you create a celebration for someone else, only do so when you reasonably believe they would be happy to receive it. Surprise celebrations are welcome when prepared with care.

Kinder Change may review, pause or remove a celebration where we reasonably believe it breaches these guidelines, our Terms or legal and payment-provider requirements.

We may ask an organiser or recipient for further information before allowing contributions or withdrawals.
